What you will have an opportunity to do: We have multiple positions available on the Golf Course Maintenance team at The Golf Club at Equinox, located in beautiful Manchester Village, Vermont. This scenic 1927 Walter Travis design was redesigned by Rees Jones in 1991.
Requirements
- No experience required; desire to learn and contribute in a team environment
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment, tools, or materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, and sometimes up to 100 lbs.
- Constant walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, often starting before dawn.
- Handling tools, operating mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.
- Working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, noise, and vibration.
- Good vision and hearing (corrected) for safely operating machinery and identifying turf issues.
Responsibilities
- Walk mowing of tees and collars
- Bunker Maintenance (raking, trimming, blowing, weeding)
- Equipment Operation (greens rolling, triplex mowing, fairway mowing, rough mowing)
- Backpack Blowing
- Hand Watering
- Landscape bed maintenance
- Golf Course Setup- cutting cups, moving tee markers etc.
