We have an opening for a GNC Manager 2: Hardware to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. This position will be located in Dulles, VA. In this role, you will serve as an Engineering Functional Manager and manage a department of GNC Components & Test. You will be responsible for leading the technical performance of an engineering team dedicated to procuring, integrating and testing GNC components. You will be expected to be very knowledgeable in the different phases of a program and the role GNC hardware and components play in each one. To excel in this position, you must exhibit strong leadership abilities and have a proven history as an effective communicator and problem solver. You should be capable of building and maintaining positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and adept at operating within a team setting, collaborating across different business areas as needed to achieve team and departmental objectives. The role is expected to involve 30%-50% functional management tasks, with the remaining duties focused on GNC technical work across various programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in Guidance, Navigation, & Controls Analysis or related engineering
  • Experience with Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO)
  • Active Top Secret clearance at time of application
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree or PhD
  • Experience managing or leading a GNC functional department or group
  • At least 7 years of direct related experience in Guidance, Navigation, & Controls engineering or related engineering.
  • Ability to effectively motivate people to work as an integrated team across locations, companies and cultures
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access
  • Active Top Secret clearance and Special Access Program clearance
  • CAM experience
