About The Position

International commerce is broken for most Shopify merchants — inaccurate duty estimates, abandoned international checkouts, and customs headaches that kill conversion and drive returns. Redo has built the solution: a unified X-Border Platform that turns international commerce from a liability into a growth channel. We're looking for a General Manager to own it. This is a founder-level role. You will own P&L, GTM, and product strategy for Redo's international x-border platform— beginning with international checkout with Landed Cost Guarantee. You'll set the direction, build the team, close the deals, and define what winning looks like. Requirements

  • Deep experience in cross-border ecommerce, international logistics, or international payments — you understand how goods actually move across borders
  • Proven track record of owning revenue: you've held a number, hit it, and grown it
  • Experience building or scaling a product at a SaaS company, ideally in the Shopify ecosystem
  • Operator mindset: you don't wait for permission, you define the problem and find a way to win
  • Strong commercial instincts — you can close enterprise merchants, negotiate partnerships, and build a repeatable sales motion from scratch
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator: you know how to work with engineering, legal, finance, and operations to get things done without slowing down
  • Communicates with clarity and directness — in writing, in meetings, and in front of customers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a landed cost, customs tech, or DDP provider (Zonos, Passport, Global-e, Avalara, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Shopify's checkout extension model and merchant tech stack
  • Experience managing international operations across Canada, UK, or Australia
  • Previous GM, BU Lead, or founding team experience at a high-growth startup

Responsibilities

  • Own the X-Border Platform P&L — set revenue targets, manage the business to them, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes
  • Define and execute GTM strategy: pricing, packaging, sales motion, channel partnerships, and market expansion
  • Build and grow the merchant pipeline for international checkout and landed cost guarantee — from first pitch through close and onboarding
  • Partner with engineering, product, and design to define the roadmap and prioritize what gets built
  • Develop and own strategic partnerships and future carrier and customs broker relationships
  • Recruit and lead a world-class team: AEs, product analysts, solutions engineers, and support
  • Represent the X-Border team internally and externally — at merchant meetings, industry events, and executive reviews
  • Operate with full transparency: weekly metrics updates, clear priorities, and tight feedback loops with the rest of Redo leadership
