About The Position

We are a busy, well-established automotive shop specializing in GM vehicles. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service. We’re looking for a skilled and reliable GM Transmission Technician to join our growing team.

The GM Transmission Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding GM automatic and manual transmissions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with GM drivetrains, is detail-oriented, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with GM transmissions
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with transmission rebuilds preferred
• ASE certification (A2, A3, or equivalent) is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose transmission issues using advanced diagnostic tools
• Repair, rebuild, and replace GM transmissions and related components
• Perform transmission removals and installations
• Conduct road tests and ensure proper operation after repairs
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
