About The Position

Reliable Chevrolet Springfield is seeking an experienced GM Shop Foreman to lead and manage our busy service department located in Springfield, MO. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Shop Foreman or similar supervisory role in an automotive service environment
  • Strong knowledge of GM vehicle systems and repair procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality repairs
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to staff as needed
  • Monitor shop operations to ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on repair status and address any concerns
  • Coordinate with parts department and management to maintain inventory and work schedules
  • Evaluate technician performance and provide coaching or training opportunities
  • Assist in diagnosing complex vehicle problems when necessary
