This position leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback (TourtoTeach). It involves communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction, as well as introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicating business objectives effectively. The role models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards, manages and supports customer service initiatives, ensures customer needs are resolved, and develops action plans for process improvement. It drives financial performance and sales by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and operational processes, and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink. The GM Coach provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and promoting a belonging mindset. It coordinates and oversees job-related activities, develops relationships with stakeholders, supports business initiatives, identifies goals, builds accountability, addresses improvement opportunities, and promotes continuous learning. The role ensures compliance with company policies, supports mission, values, and ethics, utilizes the Open Door Policy, and provides guidance on business processes.
