The Global Solution Sales Manager is responsible for revenue growth, sales & origination for a portfolio of Insurance clients within Treasury & Trade Solutions. A good understanding of the Insurance industry and direct competitors' products and services is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of Treasury & Trade Solutions (ie, cash & trade business), combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in how clients in the Insurance segment function and leverage the products and services offered. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate with client as well as internally, often at a senior level. Responsible for executing functional strategy across the client book of business. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, revenue planning, sales initiative formulation and contribution to future strategy & success of the franchise. Ability to become Trusted Advisor to Client base as well as an effective client advocate within the Citi organization. Requires strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions and businesses.
