About The Position

We are seeking a high-caliber strategist to drive the evolution and enhancement of an existing Global Learning Academy. This is a mission-critical role focused on optimizing, scaling, and professionalizing an established function to meet the rigorous demands of the Pharma/ Life Sciences environment.

Requirements

  • Academy Architecture: Deep understanding of the principles of setting up and running a corporate "Academy of Learning" (LMS/LXP ecosystems, tech, and processes).
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage senior business leaders with "gravitas" and provide authoritative advice.
  • Producer Mindset: A senior strategist who puts "hands to keyboard" to produce documents and plans rather than just delegating.
  • Strategic Roadmap Experience: Ability to create comprehensive strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • Collaborative Communication: Ability to talk with managers to ask what they need and continuously enhance the function.
  • Technical Oversight: Ability to oversee technical roles (coding/developing) to pull the product through without necessarily being a developer yourself.

Nice To Haves

  • Life Sciences Background: Prior experience working in Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Author and maintain a strategic plan and roadmap that aligns the Academy’s output with overarching business goals.
  • Executive Engagement: Act as the primary liaison to senior business stakeholders, practice managers, and functional leaders to determine what "should and should not be there."
  • Document Production: Hands-on creation of high-quality deliverables, including operating models, process workflows, and executive presentations.
  • Requirements Gathering: Conduct deep-dive interviews with practice leaders to translate business needs into technical and procedural requirements for the Academy.
  • Academy Configuration: Define and document the end-to-end processes of the Academy—from learner enrollment and curriculum mapping to data reporting and compliance tracking.
  • Tech Strategy: Lead the "make vs. buy" analysis for new technology integrations or content outsourcing, ensuring cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee technical developers and vendors to ensure the final product meets original strategic intent.
