About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Global Industry Director – Transport to lead IFS’s global strategy, positioning, and market impact within the Transport sector. The role spans major trasnport segments, including airport operators, ports and terminals, water transport, rail, and transit organizations.. You will define the global transport strategy, strengthen IFS’s competitive posture, and drive strategic net new wins. This role combines deep transport domain expertise with strong commercial, strategic, and executive communication skills. You will serve as a global thought leader and orchestrate cross functionall execution across Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing, and Partners.

Requirements

  • 12–15+ years of transport industry experience, with strong exposure to enterprise software/SaaS.
  • Proven experience operating at a strategic or executive level with C-suite engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of transport industry value drivers, operational models, regulatory context, and transformation trends.
  • Strong commercial acumen and competitive awareness across global manufacturing markets.
  • Ability to influence across regions and collaborate with Sales, Product, R&D, Partners, and Marketing.
  • Excellent executive communication, thought leadership presence, and global stakeholder management, leadership presence, and global stakeholder management.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the global Transport industry strategy, positioning IFS as a recognized leader.
  • Serve as a thought leader, representing IFS at global industry events, analyst briefings, and executive forums.
  • Define and communicate executive level Transport value propositions aligned to industry challenges and transformation priorities.
  • Support Tier‑1 strategic opportunities, providing early discovery, narrative shaping, competitive positioning, and C‑suite alignment.
  • Influence product and portfolio strategy by translating Transport requirements into roadmap and investment direction.
  • Lead creation of Transport specific sales plays, GTM motions, and targeted marketing content.
  • Build and strengthen relationships across global Transport ecosystem partners, alliances, and industry bodies.
  • Equip Sales, Partners, and internal teams with competitive intelligence, buyer insights, and industry messaging.
  • Maintain and communicate a clear Transport narrative across all IFS regions to ensure coherence and consistency.
