About The Position

With supervision, will perform general administrative duties and/or research functions for the purpose of developing a working knowledge of a specific area of study.

Requirements

  • Applicants should either be enrolled at a recognized Texas college or university, or a recent graduate.
  • Successful candidates will have a strong foundational understanding of GIS concepts and familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and the ESRI suite.
  • Completion of an introductory GIS course is required.
  • This position requires great attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Current enrollment or completion of a geospatial analysis course preferred.
  • Experience with ArcGIS software and related products, knowledge of aerial imagery, Lidar, land parcels, address points, and familiarity with the geography of Texas is a plus.

  • GIS Intern will assist in TxGIO Design, Innovation and Marketing Team.
