About The Position

The Foundation GIS Geospatial Collections Analyst is an entry-level position within the Geography team at CACI. This role involves updating and maintaining Foundation Geospatial data. The successful candidate will receive training on product specifications and CACI's tools, tactics, and procedures for creating and updating charting products. They will be responsible for individual workshares and collaborating closely with their Teams, Task Leads, and Quality Control team to produce high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate should have education and some work experience with GIS and Esri software, be a self-starter, highly motivated, and eager to learn and contribute to team and product improvement.

Requirements

0-3 years of GEO experience
High school education
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
Proficiency in communication/collaboration software like MS Teams and Slack
Experience with ESRI suite of tools and geodatabases
Knowledge of ArcMap and ArcCatalog
Familiarity with ArcToolbox
Self-Started
Flexible Team Player
Critical Thinking

Nice To Haves

BS/BA in Geography, GIS or related field preferred
Knowledge of ArcMap and ArcCatalog (version 10.8 is preferred)

Responsibilities

Review data looking for errors
Extract new features from imagery, ensuring proper attribution and topological integrity
Use photo interpretation to classify features within a defined specification
Use multiple sources and determine best course of action
Perform validation checks
Read and understand complex tables and information to be applied to geodatabase features
Communication of guidance
Analyzing project instructions to communicate which actions need to be applied to the data
Ability to work collaboratively and independently as the required by the team
