About The Position

Parsons is looking for a talented GIS Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to work on improvements at the Austin Airport. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring all field construction administration activities for airport projects. Supports Project Managers in managing engineering services and ensuring compliance with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and airport standards. Oversee documentation and communication between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure construction projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Facilitate progress reporting, issue resolution, and coordination of inspections to maintain operational continuity and minimize impacts on airport operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field. Experience may substitute for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.
  • Four (4) years of experience working with GIS platforms
  • Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, Survey123, and related GIS tools
  • Experience managing spatial data, geodatabases, and map services
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data visualization skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage geospatial datasets, including feature classes, geodatabases, and spatial databases
  • Perform spatial analysis to support planning, engineering, environmental, asset management, and operational needs
  • Produce high-quality maps, web maps, dashboards, and geospatial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support GIS data governance, metadata standards, and quality control procedures
  • Integrate GIS data with other systems such as CAD/BIM, asset management systems, and enterprise databases
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, project managers, and IT teams to support project workflows
  • Automate GIS workflows using scripting tools (e.g., Python, Model Builder)
  • Support data collection efforts, including field data collection and mobile GIS applications
  • Provide technical support and guidance to GIS users across the organization
  • Stay current with GIS technologies, tools, and industry best practices
