GIS Analyst
About The Position
Support data driven tasks in GIS, including the collection, creation, review, modification and organization of data. Support the needs of the Planning and Environmental Concerns department with the assistance of drone flights, mapping applications, data requests, report creation, transportation planning, wetland delineations, stormwater drainage inspections, MS4 compliance, etc. for internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for the training and support of GIS software and database end users. Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation. Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems or closely related fields, with a minimum of two (2) years of GIS experience is required.
- Must be proficient in ESRI Software, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Desktop.
- Must possess and maintain a Drone Pilot's License (FAA Part 107 sUAS) or ability to obtain the license within six (6) months of hire.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver's License.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid Driver's License.
