About The Position

This position will work primarily in the Neurology and Muscle Disease clinics, in multi-disciplinary clinics as well as one-on-one genetic counseling via both in-person and telemedicine appointments. This is an in-person position on the Rady Children's Health campus in San Diego. Prefer candidates with prior experience in patient-facing genetic counseling. JOB SUMMARY: The Genetic Counselor provides education, counseling, and informational services in the field of genetics for patients, physicians, and other parties referred to RCHHC Genetics Services.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an ACGC accredited program in Genetic Counseling or Human Genetics
• Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling
• Genetic Counselor Licensure by California Department of Public Health
