About The Position
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Maintain the Machine Shop and other production areas throughout the plant facility. Perform painting and assembly operations of valves and hydrants as needed.
Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Must be able to read, write and understand written schedules and instructions.
Responsibilities
- Keep work areas clean.
- See that all waste is disposed of properly.
- Assist production operations as needed.
- Interpret the Material Detail List (MDL) to gather product specifications.
- Learn the assembly processes required to produce quality products.
- Learn the component parts required in the assembly processes.
- Assist General Utility "A" and assemblers when need arises.
- Keep immediate supervisor informed when and if additional help is needed to perform responsibilities.
- Follow all safety rules at all times. Report any safety hazard to immediate supervisor.
