About The Position

Full-Time
Wages starting at $23.10/hr. for entry level candidates. Additional pay may be available for candidates with experience. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skill set.
Knox County Sand and Gravel is a dredging operation seeking a General Utility for our operation located in Vincennes, IN.
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

Requirements

• Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Ability to maintain safe working conditions
• Self-motivated individual, must be able to perform required duties without constant supervision
• Able to perform a variety of duties, some which may include plant clean-up, maintenance, operating equipment and other duties as assigned
• Ability to learn quickly
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities

• Operating a loader feeding the crushing circuit
• General plant/mine labor and clean-up of production areas, including shoveling sand and gravel from around conveyors and assisting with plant clean up, and operations.
• Being trained in various other entry level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, absences and increased production demand times
• Operate equipment, including but not limited to: skid steer, loader, man basket, telehandler, and the dredge.
• Report equipment problems and identify them to management.
• Light maintenance work maintaining the plant and dredge.
• Complete equipment pre-shift report – if applicable
• Assist other workers as needed or directed and other duties as assigned by management
