About The Position

Our client in Porterville is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused General Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to the local community. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions while delivering high-quality, ethical, and compassionate care. Description: Provide primary medical care, including consultations, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with clinical best practices. Prescribe medication and treatment plans responsibly and accurately. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records. Refer patients to specialists or hospitals when necessary. Promote preventative healthcare and patient education. Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and legal standards. Collaborate with nursing staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) .
• Valid medical indemnity insurance.
• Fluent in Afrikaans (essential); English proficiency advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice.
• Willing to relocate
• Own reliable transport & valid drivers license
• Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Strong patient care and bedside manner.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
