The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will provide exceptional care to patients in the general surgery unit during overnight shifts, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
General Surgery Nocturnist.
APP would float between vascular and GI services – working on inpatient non-ICU floors.
Nightshift (5p-6a shifts) Monday-Friday
Looking for someone that can work 2-3 shifts per week.
No on-call or weekends.
Payrate- $80-100

Requirements

• BLS & ACLS required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general surgery
• EPIC

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of general surgery patients, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with surgeons, intensivists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide advanced clinical care, including post-operative management, wound care, and other necessary procedures.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient response.
• Respond to emergencies and provide critical care support as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures, postoperative care, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care from admission through discharge and follow-up.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
