Requirements

  • 5+ years of retail, food service, or restaurant management experience
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team-building skills
  • Ability to analyze business metrics and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of labor laws and staffing best practices
  • High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, as needed
  • Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification (and alcohol server permit, if required)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a winning team, fostering a guest-obsessed culture, ensuring every guest interaction is exceptional.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, preparing them for growth opportunities, and providing continuous feedback, coaching, and performance management.
  • Create a positive and engaging work environment where team members feel valued and included.
  • Execute operational plans to meet sales, labor, and profitability goals.
  • Analyze sales, margin, shrink, and labor reports to identify improvement opportunities and establish corrective action plans.
  • Operationalize marketing strategies and team incentives to boost food sales and promotions.
  • Monitor inventory, cash handling, and store expenses to optimize financial results, including regular audits and investigating discrepancies.
  • Ensure high standards in food safety and sanitation, leading by example, conducting regular quality checks, and training/enforcing compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing store.
  • Proactively address maintenance needs and manage vendor relationships, discussing orders, delivery schedules, and potential issues.
  • Oversee scheduling and payroll execution to ensure proper staffing levels and accurate payments, creating effective schedules at least two weeks in advance.
  • Identify compliance gaps and collaborate with regional leadership to ensure all associates and the store meet jurisdictional requirements, maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee storewide training by supporting and empowering Co-Managers and Shift Managers to effectively deliver coaching, training, and feedback.
  • Adopt a Guest-Obsessed mindset by regularly visiting competitors to assess the competitive landscape and sharing key insights with the regional team.
  • Establish clear communication channels across all shifts to ensure critical information is accurately conveyed.
  • Proactively use data, such as sales trends, seasonality, and turnover, to determine staffing needs and ensure the store remains adequately staffed.
  • Oversee all written performance management for the staff, ensuring conversations are conducted privately, respectfully, and constructively.
  • Foster a growth mindset in team members by providing continuous feedback, coaching, and support on their development journey.
