Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in retail, food service, or restaurant leadership
  • Strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in high-volume, guest-focused environments
  • Ability to read and act on business metrics such as P&L, labor, and sales
  • High School Diploma or GED, in progress or completed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Willing to obtain and maintain food handler and alcohol server permits (if required)

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, cultivating a guest-first culture, mentoring Shift Managers and team members, setting expectations, providing feedback, and fostering open communication.
  • Support operational excellence by assisting in executing store-level strategies, monitoring inventory, managing vendor relationships, and controlling cash.
  • Drive promotional execution and elevate the in-store experience.
  • Ensure the store is clean, stocked, and aligned with RaceTrac brand standards.
  • Champion food safety and compliance through regular quality checks, team coaching, and maintaining required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Analyze reports and identify trends to improve store performance.
  • Support and manage team scheduling and staffing needs in coordination with the General Manager, and create schedules as needed.
  • Provide performance feedback and drive accountability across the team.
  • Educate team members on excellent guest service, safety policies, and promotional techniques.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, minimizing waste, and communicating updates to the General Manager, vendors, and team members.
  • Monitor cash controls daily and support employee training on operational processes.
  • Facilitate communication across all shifts, clarifying expectations and relaying information from RaceTrac.
  • Utilize coaching techniques to support employee development and growth.
  • Promote teamwork by fostering open and inclusive communication and providing support.
  • Adjust communication style to suit the audience and actively listen to understand others’ perspectives.
