About The Position

This position is responsible for the total operation of the assigned business area, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. Key aspects include providing supervisors with necessary information, materials, and training to produce high-quality products, and monitoring various records such as attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and TQM. The role also involves actively monitoring and promoting new ideas, encouraging their development from Team Members. Furthermore, the General Manager will oversee the daily operation of their assigned area, analyze non-routine problems, and offer recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager. Ensuring compliance with USDA, Federal, and State Regulations is crucial. The position requires maintaining the entire operation of the assigned area, encompassing safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover, absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Supervisory responsibilities over a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Responsibilities
