Job Overview The General Manager of Nikkiso’s North Las Vegas Packaging Facility (NLV) directs operations through a team of managers and front-line supervisors in a matrixed envirnoment. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s (MBA or MS in Engineering/Operations/Supply Chain) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of management experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven ability to manage full P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching talent, developing high-performing teams, and driving accountability
  • Demonstrated success leading large cross-functional groups, including production, engineering, quality, supply chain, and HR
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, change management, and navigating complex organizational challenges

  • Deep understanding of capacity planning, resource allocation, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L management, including budgeting, financial forecasting, cost control, and achievement of established financial and operational performance targets.
  • Oversee all manufacturing operations, including personnel management, safety, quality, cost, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, production planning, and business controls.
  • Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements, internal Nikkiso CEIG policies, and JSOX compliance standards.
  • Lead efforts to optimize raw material requirements, increase inventory turnover, and reduce on-hand inventory across all product lines.
  • Develop, propose, and manage the annual operating budget, conduct cost analysis, and forecast production output to support business objectives.
  • Utilize the ERP system to monitor and improve supply chain and production performance; lead initiatives to enhance system usage and support the rollout of the new corporate ERP system across the organization.
  • Provide operational leadership to meet annual performance targets and implement a 12-month production planning cycle aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborate effectively within the CEIG group structure, supporting multiple functional units and reporting KPIs, results, and performance across different product lines.
  • Determine labor requirements to support production goals and ensure appropriate staffing levels across all operational departments.
  • Identify capital needs and lead capital planning, ROI analysis, long-term operational strategies, and preparation of business cases for CEIG approval.
  • Provide strong site leadership through clear communication, coaching, mentoring, and driving accountability across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain production dashboards, KPI tracking, and systems that support continuous improvement in quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and enforce compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at the facility.
  • Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the success of the organization.
