About The Position

We are partnering with a fast-growing roofing company in the Charlotte market seeking a General Manager to lead operations, build scalable systems, and drive the next phase of growth. This is a ground-floor leadership opportunity for someone who wants to build, scale, and run a business like it’s their own. The company is projected to grow in revenue and is positioned for rapid expansion. If you are an experienced roofing leader with a strong operational mindset—and ideally some sales experience—this role offers both impact and upside.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of roofing industry experience
  • Strong background in roofing operations, production, or project management
  • Experience managing crews, multiple jobs, or field teams
  • Knowledge of residential and/or commercial roofing systems
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Residential roofing sales experience
  • Experience with P&L management or budgeting
  • Background in building systems, SOPs, or operational processes
  • Experience scaling a growing company or division

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day roofing operations including production, scheduling, and project execution
  • Build and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency and consistency
  • Oversee labor productivity, quality control, and job profitability
  • Manage and develop field teams, supervisors, and future project managers
  • Partner with ownership to scale both residential and commercial roofing operations
  • Help identify and pursue new revenue opportunities
  • Build infrastructure to support rapid growth
  • Contribute to residential roofing sales (huge plus)
  • Help build and implement a sales training program
  • Support both inbound and outbound revenue strategies
  • Establish and lead a strong safety-first culture
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and jobsite safety protocols
  • Implement training and inspection programs
  • Utilize systems for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting
  • Monitor KPIs including revenue, profitability, and job performance
  • Lead and develop production and sales teams
  • Foster a high-accountability, no-drama culture
  • Build a team focused on growth, ownership, and continuous improvement
