About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an innovative General Manager 5 to manage the food programs at East Hartford Public Schools . This role oversees the district's USDA-compliant breakfast and lunch programs, ensuring nutritious, high-quality meals for all students through the Community Eligibility Program. We prioritize health and wellness by sourcing fresh, local produce and specialty items whenever possible. The General Manager will lead efforts to enhance service, maintain compliance, and deliver an exceptional dining experience for students. Requirements

  • ability to direct other leaders in a high-volume business
  • have strong financial acumen, and P&L background
  • experience driving employee engagement and student satisfaction through strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of client contracts and ability to ensure compliance
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
