About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic General Manager 5 - Schools for a potential sale to lead student nutrition services and foodservice operations for large school district in the greater Chicago-Naperville region. This role oversees all USDA‑compliant nutrition programs, driving quality, compliance, and an exceptional student dining experience. The General Manager will guide operational strategy, develop strong teams, and collaborate closely with district leadership to support student nutrition services. Requirements

  • at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience with demonstrated experience ensuring USDA guidelines within student nutrition programs, such as the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
  • ability to direct other leaders in a high-volume business
  • strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to manage budgets
  • experience driving employee engagement and student satisfaction through strong leadership skills
  • knowledge of client contracts and ability to ensure compliance
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum Management Experience - 4 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years’ experience in management of school nutrition programs
