About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic General Manager of Environmental Services to support a potential sale in the Greater Dallas area. This leader will bring proven campus experience across custodial operations and facilities maintenance to take full ownership and build a comprehensive maintenance program. Success in this role requires strong financial acumen, the ability to build and execute a robust sanitation strategy, and exceptional communication and professional presentation skills. Our General Manager will cultivate a strong client partnership while guiding the EVS trades to deliver operational excellence. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus, reflecting the impact and leadership expected in this role. Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training. Requirements

  • Proven custodial management experience within K–12 schools or higher‑education environments preferred.
  • Strong professional presence with the ability to communicate effectively and influence senior‑level clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands‑on approach to employee engagement and team development.
  • Experience managing client relationships, resolving issues proactively, and driving long‑term partnership success
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum
  • Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum
  • Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily custodial operations across education facilities, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, including regular communication with C‑suite leaders to align on goals, expectations, and service enhancements.
  • Engage directly with custodial teams in the field—coaching, training, and working alongside staff to reinforce performance and morale.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost efficiencies, and enhanced service offerings, presenting recommendations to clients and internal leadership
