About The Position

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager 3 for Appalachian Regional Healthcare System ARH. ARH, a not-for-profit health system, operates 14 hospitals and is the largest provider of care, the single largest employer in southeastern Kentucky, and the third-largest private employer in southern West Virginia. This position will need to be available to travel to provide support to the Environmental Services teams throughout the system as needed, must be flexible for shifts and locations. This requires flexibility with both travel and various shifts, including some weekends and holidays, that this role will support. Requires supervisory/management experience, proven verbal, written and computer skills, technical skills in Environmental Services. The ideal candidate will assist in driving patient satisfaction, implementing and maintain SMS, and help fill management vacancies. Must have great organizational and time management skills and a strong understanding of customer service. Previous experience in hospitality service is ideal to support Healthcare departments. Experience in supervising a diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service is key to this role. Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of work experience in Housekeeping, Environmental or Custodial Services
  • have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system
  • possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management
  • have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • are results and safety driven

Nice To Haves

  • have experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce
