About The Position

Sodexo is #NowHiring our Custodial Manager 3, Director Custodial for our client partners in the San Diego area. We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Custodial General Manager to lead, mentor and develop our team in delivering a consistently clean, safe, and compliant environment across our facilities. Our ideal candidate brings proven experience supporting Joint Commission standards (preferred) and demonstrated history of success managing COVID‑19 response efforts, along with the ability to leverage Spanish language skills to effectively coach and develop our predominantly Spanish‑speaking frontline workforce. This role requires exceptional client‑service orientation, strong executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of managing KPIs, analyzing performance data, and presenting clear, actionable insights to C‑suite stakeholders. Success in this position hinges on disciplined operational execution, including scheduling, planning, prioritization, and proactive communication of evolving sanitation needs. A valid driver’s license, a confident and solutions‑oriented demeanor, and the ability to optimize all components of the Unit Operating System are essential to driving operational excellence and team empowerment.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to developing and empowering our largely Spanish speaking frontline hourly team members to achieve optimal performance and service excellence
  • Proven expertise in KPI management, including analyzing performance data, tracking progress, and delivering clear, results‑driven reporting to C‑suite stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and follow through on key operational metrics, with strengths in scheduling, planning, prioritization, and communicating evolving sanitation requirements and challenges
  • A professional, confident, and solutions‑oriented demeanor, paired with high energy and clear, thoughtful, and comprehensive communication skills
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience – 5 yearsMinimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting successful Joint Commission surveys and adherence to associated regulatory standards (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clear driving record
  • Ensure a consistently clean, safe, and compliant environment; experience leading successful Joint Commission and COVID‑19 response is preferred
  • Utilize Spanish language skills to effectively lead, coach, and develop a predominantly Spanish‑speaking team (preferred)
  • Demonstrate exceptional client‑service orientation and strong executive presence in all interactions
  • Oversee and optimize all components of the Unit Operating System to drive operational excellence
