About The Position

As a General Maintenance Technician , you will be a member of our data center operations team, responsible for ensuring the reliability, and optimal performance of our data center infrastructure. Your role involves technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance the integrity of our general facility systems. Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following: General data center duties as assigned Understand operations and infrastructure of the site Perform preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment, machinery and related facilities. Operate a variety of maintenance equipment ( Forklift, Scissor lift, Telehandler, Genie) in a safe and effective manner. Execute facility upkeep including equipment upgrades, conducting routine inspections, and handling maintenance paperwork. Intake deliveries and prepare shipments Facility cleaning and maintenance Basic HVAC preventative maintenance. General electrical safety And other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Availability - there will be opportunities for overtime, some will be planned, and some will be at short notice.
• Problem Solver - you will troubleshoot a site that needs repairs and will need the ability to work with the team to resolve in the best way possible.
• Vast array of experience handling different tools and equipment to maintain facility functionality. (Sawzall, Table saw, Drills, Impacts, Sockets, Wrenches, Pressure washer, Air compressor, etc.)
• Team Player - you will be working with people from different departments as well as team members within your own department.
• Patience - many of our vendors are from overseas and you will work through language, cultural, and time zone differences.
• Integrity - Be a self-starter and have the ability to handle given tasks without oversite .
• Tolerance to Harsh Conditions - our working environment is both indoors and outdoors and includes cold rooms with excess wind speed and hot rooms. You also don’t mind getting dirty.
• Lift - ability to lift and carry 50 lbs .
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field
• Must pass a motor vehicle check
• Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from the designated work site location

Nice To Haves

• Experience in construction or repairs preferred
• Forklift License preferred
