About The Position

We're looking for a dependable and versatile General Maintenance Technician to join our Newark team. If you're a hands-on problem solver who takes ownership of your work and keeps things running smoothly, you'll fit right in. What you'll do Perform routine and preventive maintenance across commercial and institutional facilities Handle repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner Inspect building systems and identify issues before they become costly problems Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times What we're looking for 2+ years of general maintenance or facilities technician experience Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry basics Ability to read work orders, maintenance logs, and basic technical instructions Familiarity with New Jersey building codes and safety regulations is a plus Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive can-do attitude What we offer Competitive hourly rate based on experience Health, dental, and vision benefits Company vehicle and tools provided Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and career development opportunities

Requirements

  • 2+ years of general maintenance or facilities technician experience
