General Laborer - Fire Equipment Technician - Westbrook, ME
About The Position
IIA Fire Department Testing, a leading company in the fire safety industry, is looking for full-time General Laborers to join our Portland, Maine team immediately as Fire Equipment Technicians. We provide an essential service testing fire equipment for fire departments at their locations. This is a general labor position with no previous experience required. All training will be done on-site. Starting hourly rate is $23.00/hour. Meals and lodging are covered by the company when traveling out of state. A $500 retention bonus will be paid after 60 days of successful employment. Work is during the months of April through November.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to work
- Be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Hard working and very dependable
Responsibilities
- Removing all hose from fire apparatus and racks
- Performing required recordings and tests
- Repacking hoses to the proper place
- Test & Inspect other fire equipment on fire apparatus as needed
