General Handyman/ Maintenance
About The Position
Excellence Property Care Solutions Inc. is urgently looking for a reliable and skilled General Handyman to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor in the Tampa, Florida area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and has expertise across a wide range of trades. The position offers flexibility with your schedule and the potential to earn between $2,000 to $3,000 per week based on the scope and complexity of the projects you take on. We are especially looking for individuals who can cover a 50-mile radius around Tampa, ensuring we can serve our clients in various locations efficiently. Whether you are based in Tampa or surrounding areas, we welcome General Handymen who are willing and able to travel to different job sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the handyman or related field
- Proficient in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, and painting
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (must cover a 50-mile radius from Tampa)
- Own tools suitable for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Nice To Haves
- Handymen with a valid General Contractor License will be given priority consideration.
Responsibilities
- General Maintenance and Repairs: Perform a wide range of tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and more. Each day brings new challenges requiring quick and effective resolutions.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Quickly identify issues and provide effective solutions, from minor fixes to more complex problems.
- Timely Work Order Completion: Complete assigned work orders within set timeframes without compromising on quality.
- Commitment to High-Quality Standards: Deliver work that meets or exceeds company expectations for craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- Professional Client Interaction: Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with clients. Ensure they are informed and satisfied with the work completed.
- Provide Your Own Tools and Vehicle: You must have a full set of tools and a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites within the Tampa area.
- Liability Insurance: Independent contractors are required to carry liability insurance. If you do not currently have insurance, you will need to obtain it.
