About The Position

As a General Construction Worker at Z-Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, in Killeen, TX, you will play a key role in assembling and constructing modular units within a production facility. This onsite position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values safety and precision, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical degree preferred.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
0–1 year of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
Ability to follow production procedures and instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail with coordination and manual dexterity.
Commitment to health and safety regulations, including consistent use of required PPE.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to stand 10–12 hours per shift.
Ability to perform frequent climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to sustain continuous physical activity requiring stamina and endurance.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and temperature changes.

Responsibilities

Promote and uphold safe work practices in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
Operate, clean, and properly store hand and power tools used in construction tasks.
Inform supervisors upon completion of daily work assignments.
Report material shortages or equipment issues promptly.
Maintain accurate production logs using paper forms or digital shop floor systems.
Support basic construction tasks across departments such as Wall Build, Subfloor, Electrical, Plumbing, Tape and Texture, Exteriors, Drywall, and Appliance Installation.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.
Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance as an essential function of the role.
