About The Position

Welcomes guests to the annual OC Fair and ensures proper admission at the gates. This is a seasonal temporary position not to exceed 122 days. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age; employees assigned to bag inspection must be at least 18 years of age.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must.
• Excellent teamwork skills required.
• Must be able to quickly learn the layout of the fairgrounds and general fair information.
• Must be available to work 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
• Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the admission of fair patrons, guests, staff, exhibitors and contractors for proper ticket or credential, before allowing them to enter.
• Provides frontline bag inspection for guests and staff by identifying dangerous and/or non-permitted items, and ensures these prohibited items are not brought through the gates, but are properly secured and/or discarded.
• Operates ticket scanning equipment and provides guidance for other employees in its proper use.
• Provides excellent customer service to Fair patrons by answering questions and providing information.
