Requirements

  • Demonstrates fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance.
  • Relevant experience is based on the specific role of the position, e.g. Instrumentation and Control, Maps and Records, Corrosion and Standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in related technical field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • As-built mapping and maintenance of electric, gas, and land GIS facility data in accordance with standards, operating procedures and appropriate state and federal code requirements.
  • Reconcile data between GIS and related auxiliary systems.
  • Maintain network connectivity of gas and electric distribution systems.
  • Prepare various maps, reports and charts using software tools to support staff & field.
  • Maintain GIS gas & electric standards and procedures including drawings and diagrams.
  • Deliver training to staff and field personnel.
  • Promote awareness of GIS and leverage the use of GIS.
  • Support gas & electric emergency and storm related efforts.
