Garage Support
About The Position
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading fleet maintenance company, is seeking a Garage Support individual. This role provides essential support to the service shop, encompassing tasks such as vehicle transporting, maintaining shop cleanliness, and managing parts pick up and delivery. Key responsibilities include transporting and fueling fleet vehicles, performing light maintenance, and conducting pre/post trip inspections. The Garage Support will also ensure vehicles are replenished with necessary fluids and air, complete daily fueling logs, and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years in automotive repair environment within a supportive role
- Must have valid Drivers License
- Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical Aptitude preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Transport vehicles
- Parts inventory management
- Fuel Fleet vehicles
- Perform light maintenance
- Perform pre/post trip inspections
- Replenishes vehicle with fuel, grease, fluids (oil, water, windshield cleaner), and air (tires) as needed
- Complete daily fueling logs
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Perform other duties as required
