About The Position

As a GAP Claims Spcst you will: Adjust/process claims from dealers, lien holders, and customers accurately and expeditiously. Follow company guidelines. Meet productivity goals. For each claim, verify contract information and determine coverage for vehicle specified. Determine validity and reason for total loss with proper documentation. Establish claim process and etiquette with customer within contract allotted time. Work with customer, lien holder and insurance companies to attain required documentation. Calculate actual cash values, verify limits of liability, and discern actual payoff from additional charges and late fees. Calculate GAP payoff and facilitate payment to correct party. Mediate interdepartmental cancellations and paper flow. Assist in other claim department functions as required and maintain high customer service levels. Coordinate and communicate actions within the company and with dealers

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Req
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
  • Ability to apply common sense.
  • Requires excellent communication skills
  • Is customer and dealer focused.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Is able to handle customers under difficult situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent follow-through skills required to complete all customer/consumer inquiries.
  • Is able to support change.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the company’s products and their coverage and benefits.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
  • Is legally able to work in the United States Required
