About The Position

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to; servicing, repairing, cleaning, and maintaining Video Gaming Terminals (VGT), Redemption Terminals (RT), Amusement devices/equipment, Automatic Teller Machines (ATM), Marketing devices/equipment, and other associated equipment as required. Service technicians will interact with other Accel Entertainment employees and personnel at partner locations. These interactions will promote teamwork and a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Experience in Slot machine, VGT, Amusement, ATM service or in a related technical field desired
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Mechanically inclined individual preferred
  • Some PC or networking skills desired
  • Must be able to lift and/or move heavy objects.
  • Must be willing to work rotating, on-call, weekend and evening shifts including holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain a terminal handler license.
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Has the flexibility and willingness to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to service appointments in a timely matter in all types of weather and light conditions.
  • Conducts wellness checks at locations to ensure Accel Entertainment equipment is clean and serviceable.
  • Uses computer and cell phone applications to perform duties and complete administrative tasks.
  • Cleans, inspects, tests, and troubleshoots VGTs, RTs, Amusements, Standalone ATMs, and Marketing equipment.
  • Performs repairs, adjusts, and/or replaces parts as necessary to keep equipment operating in optimal condition.
  • Communicates with Accel Entertainment employees and customers to ensure minimum equipment down time and an optimal customer experience.
  • Replenishes cash cassettes and coins in RTs, ATMs, and change machines.
  • Completes hand pays with cash when required.
  • Safeguards company property by following company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage vehicle inventory to ensure commonly used parts and tools are available when needed.
  • Able to interpret VGT pay lines and rules, and able to explain them to customers.
  • Uses hand tools to perform adjustments and/or replace parts on VGTs, RT, Amusement equipment, and Standalone ATMs.
  • Able to use wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting VGTs, RTs, Amusement equipment, and Standalone ATMs.
  • Uses multimeters, outlet testers, and cable testers to test for continuity and voltage.
  • Follows procedures for parts control and ordering replacement parts.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for device entry and in-house logs.
  • Delivers equipment, funds, and supplies between company locations to other company locations, and customer locations, or to other technicians as needed.
  • Restocks amusement supplies as needed.
  • Follows policies and procedures for maintaining company assigned vehicles.
  • Follows all Accel and IGB policies and procedures.
  • Works full shift in assigned service territory.
  • Performs other duties as required.
