About The Position

Administrative support role for currently enrolled students. This is an off campus Federal Work Study Position.RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity: Innovation DuPage (ID) is a business incubator and accelerator launched by founding partners College of DuPage, Choose DuPage and the Village of Glen Ellyn. ID connects startup founders and small business owners to the people, resources and programs that support their growth. ID is seeking a Graphic Design Intern that can take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into web pages, images, layouts and other designs for social media, brochures, flyers and more. Please note that students must be at least a part-time, enrolled student to qualify for an off-campus federal work study role. This position requires you to be enrolled in school during the entire internship. This internship will be a minimum of 6 months, 15-25 hours per week. This internship requires the intern to work on-site at least twice a week at the location Glen Ellyn Civic Center, 535 Duane Street Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Internship Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per week during business hours.Internship Location:Glen Ellyn Civic Center535 Duane StreetGlen Ellyn, IL 60137We are located a 2-minute walk from Glen Ellyn Train Station and the Illinois Prairie Path in downtown Glen Ellyn. Requirements

  • Must be an enrolled student.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a current student in good standing and possess a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester.
  • FWS fund eligible.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed, motivated individuals.
  • People who sit around, waiting to be told what to do will not do well in this environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit video content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram)
  • Update and edit videos for use on websites, mass emails, internal displays, presentations and for commercials
  • Conduct interviews with ID partners, members, and mentors that delivers a story to a targeted audience
  • Review, edit and compile past videos and photographs to deliver compelling narratives to stakeholders
  • Other related duties as assigned
