The Court Advocate Paralegal supports survivors of family and domestic violence by providing legal advocacy, procedural guidance, and compassionate assistance throughout the court process. This role ensures that survivors understand their rights, have access to protective legal measures, and feel supported during an emotionally challenging time. This position strengthens program impact by increasing survivor safety, improving legal outcomes, and fostering community collaboration. This position requires a person with high personal integrity, ethics, and knowledge of the Oklahoma Court System. The Court Advocate is responsible for attending court proceedings and providing client support during the court process regarding domestic violence, stalking, teen dating violence, sexual assault, and human sex trafficking issues. The Court Advocate is also responsible for assisting the Staff Attorney and Staff Paralegal in compiling documentation, communicating important court-related information with the client, and providing other assistance as needed. The Court Advocate will provide client-centered, trauma-focused court support services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human sex trafficking, stalking, and teen dating violence.
