About The Position

The National Academy Foundation (NAF) Future Ready Lab (FRL) Internship Program at Pratt & Whitney, an RTX Business, is a unique paid internship opportunity for students enrolled in NAF Academies in the West Palm Beach, FL area. This six-week program, starting in June 2026, is designed to transform the future of flight by engaging interns in skill-building workshops, providing hands-on experience in a professional setting, and fostering collaboration with team members and mentors on a business project. Intern projects will focus on Technology and Innovation, working directly with teams crucial to Pratt & Whitney’s growth through innovation, technology development, and continuous improvement. Interns will integrate new expertise gained from workshops and professional development events into their projects. The internship culminates in the final week with the preparation and delivery of a professional presentation to company executives and industry leaders, showcasing key insights and skills developed. Potential project areas include Supply Chain and Materials Planning, Repair and Aftermarket Engineering, Engine Testing Systems and Controls, Project Management and Planning, and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S).

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled at Forest Hill Community High School
  • Rising seniors (summer between 11th & 12th grade)
  • Minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Commitment to all dates and times of the internship
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
