About The Position

We are currently seeking a Funding Administrative Specialist to join our Funding & Grant Services team. This individual will work closely with the team and engineering, planning, and other technical staff in conducting grant research, grant writing, preparing and submitting various federal and state funding applications, preparing presentations for client meetings, graphic design support services, and other miscellaneous funding and grant services tasks. Essential Job Functions: Collaborate with technical staff and clients to develop funding strategies for infrastructure projects. Research applicable funding opportunities based on the client’s infrastructure priorities and needs. Grant writing assistance for various loan and grant funding applications. Develop relationships with funding agency organizations and individuals across the southwest region. Present at client meetings to address opportunities for funding strategies. Develop presentation materials for client and networking opportunities. Research applicable funding opportunities based on client’s infrastructure priorities and needs. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented individual who is eager to work with others to build relationships and help support project goals.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships with private and public clients.
  • 3+ years of experience with grant writing or technical writing/editing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Business Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with state and federal funding programs is highly desired.
