About The Position

A warm, joyful, and highly engaged family on the Upper East Side is seeking an exceptional full-time nanny to care for their two young daughters (ages 5 and 3). This is a collaborative, long-term opportunity for a proactive, education-minded caregiver who brings positive energy, creativity, and a genuine love for children into the home. The family spends the summer months (late June through August) in the Hamptons, where the role transitions to a live-in, Monday–Friday position (private room provided, candidate goes home on weekends). The ideal candidate is flexible, team-oriented, and excited to become a valued part of a dynamic, loving household.

Requirements

  • Prior professional childcare experience with similar age groups
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate engagement
  • Valid driver’s license and confident driving ability
  • Comfortable swimming and supervising children in/around water
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • College degree strongly preferred
  • Ability to work 55–60 per week with stamina and positivity
  • Flexibility to transition to a live-in role in the Hamptons during summer months
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Discreet, professional, and respectful of family privacy
  • US work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two young children
  • Foster a nurturing, joyful environment centered around learning, creativity, and exploration (music, art, play-based engagement)
  • Partner closely with hands-on parents to support consistent structure, boundaries, and positive communication
  • Plan and facilitate enriching activities, outings, and playdates
  • Transport children to and from school and activities
  • Prepare healthy, balanced meals for the children (family values nutritious eating habits)
  • Assist with light household tasks related to the children (laundry, tidying, dishes) and step in collaboratively when needed
  • Travel occasionally with the family, as needed
