About The Position

Retro develops therapies for diseases driven by the biology of aging. We focus on cellular reprogramming and autophagy to rejuvenate cell and tissue function with the ultimate aim of adding 10 years to healthy human lifespan. We are hiring a detail-oriented, people-centric Recruiter. You will be part of the Human Experience (HX) team and will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, from need assessment to offer and onboarding. You will manage several requisitions at a time and will drive the lifecycle of the process; coordinating with hiring managers, creating sourcing and outreach plans, and conducting initial screens. You will report to the lead of the HX team. About you: You are highly organized and effective at troubleshooting and keeping a process moving. You approach recruiting with high emotional intelligence, but also appreciate looking at the data. You listen to and communicate well with many different types of people. You are resourceful and love finding creative solutions to source the best talent. You are passionate about being a “culture carrier” and representing Retro at the highest level.

Requirements

Have 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
Have experience hiring for scientific positions within highly technical fields.
Are proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems, Google Suite, and project management tools.
Have knowledge of employment law and compliance as it relates to the recruiting and hiring process.
Have a proven track record of finding amazing candidates in creative ways.
Care deeply about candidates and want to create an experience they will brag about.
Want to work on technically challenging roles and be a part of extending healthy human lifespan!

Nice To Haves

Have experience with Lever ATS.
Have utilized Asana and Notion for project and task management.
Have recruited for scientist-level or more senior scientific positions.
Have a scientific background yourself!

Responsibilities

Manage several full-cycle requisitions, both scientific and operational, at once; helping hiring managers with application review, initial screens, candidate sourcing, and advice on overall hiring workflows.
Build relationships with hiring managers to understand the specific needs of the role and Retro and tailor recruiting strategies to find the best candidates.
Be a super-user of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Lever; pull reports, manage pipelines, automate process features, etc.
Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract passive talent and bring the best and brightest to Retro.
Use data and hiring metrics to identify areas of process improvement and develop new and more efficient hiring solutions.
Support candidate onboarding workflows.
Stay up to date with the industry hiring trends and the latest recruiting tools and resources.
Learn the science; on our team, we take pride in being knowledgeable on what our scientific teams are working on and being able to clearly explain the role to the candidates.
Other duties as assigned; i.e. we’re a startup and we help where we’re needed. We have a humble, no-task-too-small attitude.
