About The Position

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are looking for an experienced, service-oriented, and independent Full Charge Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background, experience serving multiple functions and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed. This is a full time, remote based salaried position.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the USA
  • Must be physically reside within one of the following states to be considered: Colorado, Florida, Illinois
  • Capable and comfortable in working autonomously in a virtual environment
  • Possess an exceptional attention to detail, proactive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Possess highly effective time management skills and be able to switch between multiple projects/tasks seamlessly
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and current automotive insurance
  • 6+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping and client accounting including A/P, A/R, account reconciliation, General Ledger review and adjustment, payroll processing and the preparation of Payroll, Sales and Use Tax returns
  • Intermediate+ skill level in QuickBooks Desktop required
  • Ability to Travel up to 15% depending on location
  • Must be able (as needed) to drive to run errands and sit for long periods of time
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and, if necessary, take several flights of stairs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting desired
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online desired
  • Experience with DCAA accounting highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable managing multiple accounting books
  • Daily communication with employees regarding timekeeping and/or finance related tasks
  • Perform biweekly Payroll execution
  • Perform monthly book closing
  • Daily tasks using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Constant communication with customers regarding AR/AP items
  • Capable and willing to work within a team
  • Ability to problem solve and think analytically
  • Responsible for HR related tasks within onboarding/offboarding process
