About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Fuel Technician II for Creech Air Force Base . Purpose and Scope: Efficiently fuel assigned equipment and all aircraft. Perform the work required in a timely manner and maintain adequate production in order to meet service schedules. Compensation HIRING HOURLY Rate of Pay: $35.68; Hourly rate set by CBA. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and possess a minimum of 2 years' related experience.
  • Possess a current, valid Class B CDL License.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds to a height of 66 inches and climb steps and ladders.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid state issued driver's license.
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, stores, and issues ground and aircraft fuel of various types.
  • Receives, stores, and issues cryogenics products.
  • Inspects/refuels vehicles and ensures all equipment, tire pressures, and fluids levels are at appropriate levels.
  • Maintains and operates the Fuels Laboratory to assure quality fuels, cryogenics, and lubricants.
  • Preforms quality control checks on all Fuel storage facilities and input repair requests as needed.
  • Operates/refuels vehicles and assure proper grounding before dispensing any grade of fuel.
  • Assures all operations are conducted in a safe manner and stops work if hazardous conditions are observed.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
