About The Position

The Fuel Compliance Technician is responsible for testing, inspecting, and supporting fuel system compliance at retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities. This role performs fuel system integrity testing, documents results accurately, and communicates findings and corrective actions clearly to internal teams and customers. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and regular travel.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude; experience with hand tools preferred
Background in trades or industrial/commercial environments is a plus
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
Physically able to lift 10–50 lbs and perform tasks such as kneeling, bending, reaching, and standing
Must pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Responsibilities

Perform fuel containment, equipment integrity, and leak-detection testing
Identify leaks and compliance issues to prevent environmental or equipment failures
Complete petroleum support work orders accurately and efficiently
Document test results using basic calibration tools
Communicate findings and corrective procedures clearly to company partners and customers
Travel approximately two weeks per month (home on weekends; hotel and per diem provided)
Comply with safety, DOT, and company policies at all times
