About The Position

Our Compliance Field Technicians provide specialized testing, inspection, and maintenance services within the gasoline service station industry. This position plays a critical role in ensuring fuel systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Ability to report to the Franklin, OH office daily Primary services include: Precision underground storage tank and fuel line tightness testing Leak detector testing Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) certification Stage I & II vapor recovery testing Cathodic protection testing Secondary containment testing Third-party facility operations inspections Technicians also perform containment sump repairs, gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning, and minor maintenance on fuel system components. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • Mechanical background required; experience using hand tools strongly preferred
  • Experience in trades, construction, automotive, or industrial/commercial environments is a plus
  • Ability to lift 10–50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable with frequent kneeling, bending, reaching, standing, and climbing ladders
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulatory protocols preferred
  • Basic proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and computers for documentation
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight and multi-day assignments (hotel accommodations and generous per diem provided)
  • Ability to pass a company-paid DOT physical and drug screen
  • Clean driving record required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare job sites for testing and inspection activities
  • Set up and operate testing and safety equipment
  • Remove and replace manhole lids to access underground storage tanks
  • Accurately document findings using company-issued technology
  • Drive a DOT-registered commercial motor vehicle to job sites
  • Travel to customer locations across a multi-state region
