Fuel Delivery Driver- CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
About The Position
We're looking for an outstanding Fuel Delivery Driver to join our Team at our Lovingston Plant. This position requires an individual to safely load, then drive a bobtail delivery vehicle to residential and commercial customer locations. We're seeking someone who has a real passion for customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment as a safety-focused Propane Delivery Driver. This is a full-time, year-round role with amazing benefits. Requirements
- Possess a CDL Class A or B License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Commitment to safety in all aspects of your work!
- Experience maneuvering in tight quarters and driving in snow, ice and other weather conditions
- Physically capable of heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing up to 50 lbs
- Good driving record with no major convictions
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with Dispatcher and customers
- Able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork
- Displays a positive, “can-do” attitude and interacts well with others on a team
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test
Responsibilities
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane & other fuel to and from specified destinations.
- Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Operates delivery truck in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Collaborate with Dispatcher to plan and follow routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering questions.
- Completes required on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries and responses.
- Ensure struck and associated equipment are clean and in good working order.
- Outside of heating season, assists the Plant and Service division with tank maintenance and other tasks as required.
