About The Position

The CDL Driver is responsible for transporting cargo and equipment to and from warehouses and job sites in a safe and timely manner; safely operating trucks with a semi drop deck trailer or gooseneck trailer to deliver cargo in a multi-state area; and maintaining equipment maintenance and an orderly shop area.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) – Class A.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as CDL driver with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Position requires multi-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicle and adhere to all traffic laws while driving locally and long-distance to make deliveries.
• Inspect and secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
• Haul equipment with a semi drop deck trailer or gooseneck trailer.
• Safely operate forklift to load and unload trailers.
• Deliver goods to job sites or clients promptly and maintain a friendly attitude with clients.
• Perform pre-job and post-job inspection and maintenance of equipment, including greasing valves and pressure washing.
• Plan or adjust driving routes using GPS equipment, minimizing fuel consumption.
• Maintain orderly shop area and assist with inventory maintenance.
